Special volunteer event! Join us on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 19, to assemble items for the upcoming Point-in-Time Count of people experiencing homelessness. We are switching it up from our usual time to bring in volunteers from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for a morning of service. Check the link in our bio or sign up here: https://www.aceh.org/volunteer Can't make it on MLK Day but want to help? Click the button on our volunteer page to sign up for the day that works for you. Volunteer events generally are now on the first Monday of the month, 5:30 to 7 p.m., with additional times as needed. Thank you volunteers! You help our street outreach efforts immensely! People often ask about bringing children. We welcome kids but ask that they be old enough to help or that you bring an extra adult to watch them. We aren't able to offer childcare. Thanks for understanding! #NeighborsHelpingNeighbors #VolunteersRock #ACEHVolunteers #PointInTimeCount2026

Happy New Year, Alaska! Many of you will be applying for your PFD in coming days. If you donate through Pick.Click.Give., please consider the Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness. We work with partners to build a strong, effective community-wide response to homelessness. We provide trainings, convene partners, develop strategies and offer technical assistance to ensure that housing and supports are tailored to individual needs. Pick.Click.Give. is the easiest way to share part, or all, of your PFD. How it works: https://pickclickgive.org/ #PickClickGive #HousingSolvesHomelessness

Our community steps up! Thank you to all who have generously given to help our unsheltered neighbors stay safe and get warm. We are more than halfway to our goal of outfitting 100 people through our Season of Warmth campaign. These funds go directly for outdoor gear including coats, snow pants and winter boots. For just $10, you can provide a hat, gloves and handwarmers for someone. For $120, you can get a person outfitted head-to-toe. Make an impact this December. People ask us all the time: “So… what exactly does ACEH do?” Short answer: We’re the folks who work with partners to make the whole homelessness response system work smarter. Long answer: • We follow the data. We see the gaps. We help partners fill them — without stepping on each other’s toes. • We run Coordinated Entry and lead case conferencing to get the most vulnerable people housed first. • We’re out in the field meeting people where they are — and making sure we have updated information, key for housing. • Twice a week we open our doors for walk-ins — making sure their information is current and connecting them to services while providing snacks and warm gear. • We staff the Anchorage Continuum of Care, apply for collaborative communitywide federal grants, and lead big efforts like Project Homeless Connect and the Point-in-Time Count. Think of us as the backbone crew making sure Anchorage’s homelessness response is connected, coordinated and focused on solutions. Bottomline mission: Make homelessness rare, brief and one time.
